About Mirror Lake Retreat

Mirror Lake Retreat has a long history in the Hudson Valley… and now, a bright future as well. Founded by the Church of the Nazarene as The Taconic Retreat and Conference Center, in 2021 the property underwent a full scale renovation and is now positioned as the Hudson Valley’s premier camping resort.

We love being the perfect outdoor escape for people of all ages and walks of life! We have a diverse range of accommodations that are perfect for group gatherings, corporate retreats, family outings, couple’s romantic getaways and more! Being conveniently located 90 minutes out of New York City and only a 15 minute drive from beautiful Rhinebeck and Red Hook, NY provides our guests with great shopping and restaurant options from lovely scenic downtowns. Not to mention, Dutchess County is a treasure trove filled with all kinds of local attractions

We invite you to learn more about our campground’s storied history and our dedicated team who help families, friends, and groups make unforgettable memories on our property.

Frequently Asked Questions

I used to visit Taconic Retreat. Is this the same place?

Yes! It’s the same physical place and has the same ownership; however, Mirror Lake Retreat has been fully renovated and reimagined as a family campground rather than a conference center. While we honor our history, we also look toward the future with the goal of introducing this beautiful corner of the Hudson Valley to a broader subset of people.

I see that Mirror Lake Retreat is a ministry partnership of the Metro New York District Church of the Nazarene. Do I need to be a church member to stay at Mirror Lake Retreat?

No, Mirror Lake Retreat welcomes guests of all faiths and beliefs.
